I have bilateral Ménière’s disease and at times have suffered greatly from the vertigo attacks and subsequent symptoms afterward, so HHF’s mission is near and dear to my heart and I’d like to contribute a little here and there.
A Meaningful Mission
Abe is doing a fundraiser for HHF as part of his bar mitzvah project. “It makes total sense to support this mission that means so much to my family and me,” he says.
Doing My Part to Break Sound Barriers
In September 2020, I conducted my own fundraiser for Hearing Health Foundation (HHF) online. I don’t live with a hearing and balance condition and do not have any family members affected. Rather, I became inspired to help after a very memorable elementary school experience.
#GivingTuesdayNow: Science Doesn't Stop
“Experimental work in my lab has been paused. However, right before the pandemic struck, my lab and I had finished the final round of imaging experiments and collected enormous datasets for review. We are able to work and maintain daily contact and hold weekly virtual lab meetings to keep each other up-to-date on our progress.” Right now, you can help our scientists, like Dr. Apostolides, ensure that momentum is not lost in the quest to better treat and cure devastating conditions like hearing loss and tinnitus. Our health cannot afford for research to be interrupted.
More Than Winning
With the help of my employer, OneLife Fitness, I scheduled the challenge for my 55th birthday at the gym. I chose to pair the event with a fundraiser for HHF on Facebook, where I was able to not only raise funds, but bring more awareness into the community about the good work of HHF.
ChEARs to Our Hearing
To extend our celebration of World Hearing Day (March 3), Hearing Health Foundation (HHF) has partnered with the innovative Class I hearing aid manufacturer Eargo to raise funds for hearing loss research and awareness.
