In 1987, 1988, and 1989, Tye-Murray received ERG funding for her project "Training the ear to listen: Comparison of an elemental, focused attention, and ecological approach.” This support made it possible for Tye-Murray to go on to receive funding from the National Institutes of Health and to pursue work that remains relevant to her career today.

In her January 5 webinar, Tye-Murray will address that hearing loss challenges don’t stop at the ears. Related conditions, or co-morbidities, of hearing loss include social isolation and loneliness, depression, increased risk of falls, and cognitive decline and related dementias. The presentation will describe how digital therapeutics are changing the face of healthcare, and then present an example of how digital therapeutics may be used to treat hearing loss and its downstream effects.

If you are unable to attend the live event, the captioned presentation will be recorded and published for your review at hhf.org/webinar. You can also submit questions to Tye-Murray no later than Wednesday, December 30 via marketing@hhf.org.
