Thanks to our donors, scientists funded by Hearing Health Foundation (HHF) achieved significant milestones in hearing and balance research and awareness in the past year. Just a few include:
Discovery of a new neuron type in the brain that will help us better understand sound processing
Application of single-cell RNA sequencing to inform hair cell regeneration
Clinical tools to assess the severity of tinnitus
Improved TMC1 gene therapy to restore hearing and balance in mice
