In Memory of John Walton

In Loving Memory of My Dad ❤️

June 7, 1940–January 5, 2025

This year, I lost my dad—a kind, thoughtful, and loving man—who peacefully passed away at home after a long struggle with congestive heart failure. For many years, he endured difficult health challenges, including countless hospital visits and the toll of multiple medications.

But one of the hardest battles he faced was severe hearing loss. It deeply affected his daily life, keeping him from fully engaging in conversations and family moments he would have cherished. Of everything he endured, hearing loss was the one thing he said he would never wish on anyone. It was isolating and heartbreaking—a burden that took away more than just sound.

Despite it all, he never lost his warmth or humor. He was the best storyteller, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle—the kind of person who made everyone around him feel valued and loved. He loved his country and served in the U.S. Army. I miss him more than words can say.

In his honor, I’m asking for donations in his name. Your support will help others facing hearing loss and contribute to prevention efforts—something I know he would have cared deeply about.

Thank you for helping keep his spirit alive through kindness and action.

❤️ Love, Joni, with Vicki and Janet
