Hearing Health Foundation (HHF) is so grateful that you have been part of our mission to advance cures for hearing loss, tinnitus, and related conditions in 2020.
Thanks to you, science did not stop this year, despite a pandemic that threatened otherwise. With your help, HHF-funded scientists adapted to remote work focusing on data analysis, virtual experiments, and manuscript preparation before ultimately returning safely to their labs.
A few of their especially critical discoveries from this year include:
Identification of proteins critical to inner ear (hair cell) regeneration to restore lost hearing and balance
Improved understanding of the mechanisms of balance disruption and preventing vertigo spells in Ménière’s disease patients to optimize future treatments
Intervention guidance for children with auditory processing disorders and listening difficulties
Development of a blood test to identify hearing loss to aid in more personalized treatments
Your commitment to this research during such a difficult time truly inspires us. We invite you to review all of the biggest discoveries that our supporters generously made possible in 2020.
We need your help to continue this important work in 2021 and beyond.
Today is Giving Tuesday—the biggest day of the year to support the causes that matter to you most, like Hearing Health Foundation (HHF)’s life-changing research.
If you ask Monica, a mother in Connecticut, what matters most to her, she will say her 6-year-old Savannah’s hearing health.
Savannah has an auditory processing disorder (APD) and there is no permanent cure. Monica is hopeful that scientific advances will bring new treatments and cures to transform how her daughter speaks and hears.
The groundbreaking hearing and balance research that you make possible has the potential to improve the lives of individuals like Savannah and millions more.
Because this research is so urgent, every dollar that you donate will be matched by generous benefactors. The opportunity expires at 11:59 PM EST on Tuesday, December 1.
Let’s make a difference for individuals like Savannah and so many more. Don’t wait to make your gift today.
