For nearly 60 years, HHF has funded groundbreaking research to find cures and treatments for hearing and balance disorders. Select a program to explore our scientific progress, meet our researchers, or learn our grant application process.
Our Emerging Research Grants program, established in 1958, provides support for research endeavors carried out by early-stage investigators who are beginning work in the field of hearing and balance.
The Hearing Restoration Project was begun in 2011 with scientists working collaboratively to discover new ways to regenerate hair cells in the human ear and, thus, restore hearing. It is the only international research consortium of its kind.
Launched in 2017, the Ménière's Disease Grants program funds research focused on advancing our understanding of Ménière's Disease, including what leads to the inner ear and balance disorder.
100% of every dollar donated to our programs goes directly toward our critical research and awareness work. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, our researchers have achieved significant advancements. But much more must be done to propel the discoveries of cures for hearing loss, tinnitus, and related conditions.
