HHF’s 4-Star Charity Navigator Rating Renewed
By Lauren McGrath
Thank you for believing in Hearing Health Foundation (HHF). Your trust has again been affirmed by Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest and most reliable independent charity evaluator.
On Nov. 1, 2019, Charity Navigator rated us 4 stars — indicating we are accountable, transparent, and financially healthy — for the fourth year in a row.
HHF’s 4-star rating follows an A+ designation from CharityWatch in September and an impressive roster of research achievements throughout 2019, including the observation of improved hearing and balance in mice using gene therapy, the development of a mathematical model to detect pressure changes in the ear, and the identification of a new type of neuron in the brain to advance knowledge of speech processing.
Only one-quarter of nonprofits evaluated earn the 4-star distinction from Charity Navigator. The rating places HHF in a renowned group of charities working diligently to overcome one of the world’s most pressing health challenges: the prevention, treatment, and cure of hearing and balance conditions.
Since 2002, using objective analysis, Charity Navigator has awarded only the most fiscally responsible organizations a 4-star rating. In addition to looking at how organizations manage funds, Charity Navigator uses metrics focused on governance and ethical practices as well as measures of openness to compute ratings.
You, our generous donors and supporters, are a tremendous part of why we have again achieved this top rating from Charity Navigator, and we thank you for being part of our mission.
You can donate before the year-end deadline with confidence. HHF pledges to make the most of your tax-deductible contribution to improve the lives of millions affected by hearing loss, tinnitus, and related conditions.
