One of my duties in the US Navy was to stand watch for the firing of the Terne-3 Missile Launcher. Did not have proper ear protection during the process. When the missiles were fired it had deafening effect on my ears. Sometime I could not hear for several hours after firing the Terne-3 missile launcher. Because of that I have over 75 % hearing loss. However, the VA Hines Hospital has helped me by fitting me with hearing aids for both ears.
